DON’T LOOSE VIRTUE TO IGNORANCE

Ignorance, some believe is bliss in certain aspects of life. In some professions, such as the medical profession, certain facts are held back from the patients merely to keep them ignorant.

Christians, like children growing up do not usually get full knowledge of the words of God; but gradually learn and mature in the Spirit in the course of growing.
In other words, every christian has surely been ignorant at on point or the other.

But unlike the human point of view, God will not have any of us to be ignorant

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every to repent: because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; wherof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:30, 31

Neither will he keep anything from us

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth (Comforter in vs 7), is come, he will guide you into all truth… John 16:13

God in his infinite mercy sent his only begotten son to redeem us (John 3:16). Yet he lives not to ourselves but keep instructing us from day to day as much as we willingly make us available.

The subject of fornication has been treated differently by many “men of God”.
But then, what does the Bible say?

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not DECEIVED: neither fornicators, …1Corinthians 6:9, 10

Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
What? Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
FLEE fornication… 1Corinthians 6:15,16,18

God makes his abode in our hearts, as soon as we accept him (Rev 3:20). Where God lives must be Holy (2Cor. 6:16), for he detests sin.
We have been adjured not to keep company of the fornicators, no not to even dine with them (1Cor. 5:9-11); should we then engage in the act?

The flesh indeed is weak, and will keep lusting. The world will not stop pressurising, neither will the Devil refrain from enticing.

But we security in Christ if we truly yield our totality to him.
We are in the world but not of the world, therefore we ought not to act like the world 2Corinthians 617,18).
We crucified and buried the flesh when we accepted Jesus, how could sin then have dominion over us any longer?

Bring your body under subjection; put God in charge.

Let not sin reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Rom 6:12
